I looked forward to getting into the latest work from A. T. Weaver. I've enjoyed the previous two books, and this latest work did not disappoint. The weaving of so many different time lines, and view points was well handled. I truly came of love the characters, and their development through the story.

I'm looking forward to the next book by this author!!!

Catriona Curse edition by A T Weaver Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I read this book today and really enjoyed it. If you like a mystery with historical overtones, this one is for you. I have now read all four of Ms. Weaver's books self-published on . Each is very different from the other but all with great character and story development. This one was particularly intriguing with its Celtic lore and spirituality and its reincarnation mystery. I highly recommend this book and the other three available here on . Ms. Weaver's stories have a lot of meat on their bones and a lot of bang for your buck. She takes the time to really develop her characters and bring them to life in a way that can't be done with a shorter novel.
Overall, this was a pretty good read. I was more interested in the mystical aspects of it than the romantic ones, but I have to say that all were developed equally well. Sunny's dreams and visions are skillfully woven into the timeline, and I definitely enjoyed the dated diary format. While not a central focus of the book, I also appreciated the presentation of the friction between Christianity and more pagan religions; as someone with close friends following both paths, it rings true. At times, I found it a bit too explanatory, but that may be because I am fairly familiar with the area in which most of the book takes place, and while there were some minor grammatical issues, there was nothing strong enough to jolt me out of the story. As a final note, I will admit that I skimmed over the few sex scenes; I don't particularly enjoy them in any book, so this is typical behavior. I have a couple of other books by this author, and am certainly looking forward to reading them now!
Sunny Nelson has inherited a house from his grandfather and his parents insist he goes for a few days to see the house. Sunny is at a turning point in his life after coming out of a long term relationship he thinks the house could be his new start. While at the house strange things start to happen that Sunny will have to decipher.
Jeff Davis is a distant relative of Sunny and offers to help him with the house. As soon as he sees Sunny he is drawn to him and as they try to discover the secrets of the house their relationship grows.
I haven’t read anything by this author before so I was excited to discover something new. I was intrigued from the beginning the historic aspect I loved. Following a family during hard times and the love shared was touching. I was engaged with the historic characters and desperately wanted to know how it would end.
Sunny and Jeff’s relationship was sweet and developed nicely over the span of the book. The reaction of the generations to gay relationships was well handled. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and loved the choppy style swapping from one period in time to the other however some may struggle with it. I did find myself more invested in the historical characters.
Overall I found it to be a refreshing read with a great plot and a sweet romance.
